The Hospitality Chorus originally began as the Dayton Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. The Society began in 1938 and Dayton became Ohio's 3rd chapter to organize in the fall of 1943. They first met at the Elks Club on East Fifth Street and in '46, it was in the Hotel Baltimore (every third Tuesday.)
By 1953, the Dayton Suburban Chapter had split off and the remaining chorus was meeting at the Druids Club, 381 W. First Street. In ‘54, they were meeting in the Alpha Supper Club on Route 35 just east of Beavercreek. Eventually, more members were residents of Xenia so the chapter re-chartered in 1958 as the Xenia Chapter and has been meeting in Xenia ever since.
