Dear Parents, welcome back to all existing parents, and a warm welcome to all new parents! My name is Araminta. I am SCP’s Therapeutic Lead in school.
Sometimes we could all do with someone to talk to. I am here every Thursday to support your child(ren) and I am also available for you and for our staff.
CHILDREN
The SPACE: Every Thursday I offer a lunchtime drop-in for children who want to talk about any feelings or worries they may be struggling with. The SPACE is a safe, confidential space where children can feel listened to in order to feel better or to better understand their emotions.
If you would not like your child to use this service, please notify the school.
PARENTS
We offer a safe and confidential place to help if you are concerned about your child or if you would like to talk about any other worries that are affecting you or your family. As part of the service, we also offer consultancy and workshops to parents and teachers, helping them to better understand the emotional needs of children, and providing information about children’s emotional development and practical suggestions about how parents and teachers could support children and themselves emotionally.
PARENT COFFEE MORNING
TO SHARE A LITTLE MORE ABOUT WHAT I DO, AND TAKE ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE, I WILL BE HOLDING A PARENT COFFEE MORNING ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 2ND, 9-10am. THIS WILL ALSO BE A SPACE FOR PARENTS TO CONNECT WITH ONE ANTOHER.

Emergency Response Roadshow
Emergency Response Roadshow
Ealing Council’s Emergency Management Team would love to invite you to the Emergency Response Road Show, a free family event taking place on Saturday, 13 September 2025 12pm to 4pm at Acton Fire Station.
This is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore fire engines, police cars, and ambulances, meet real emergency responders, and learn about safety in a fun, hands-on way. There will be live demos, interactive activities, a chance to meet the Mayor of Ealing and free food (including burgers and drinks), it promises to be both educational and exciting for all ages.

Attendance Reminders
Regular school attendance is vital for your child’s learning, progress and confidence. Here are some simple tips to support good attendance:
Establish a consistent bedtime routine.
Prepare uniforms and bags the night before.
Arrive at school between 8.45 and 8.55 am. Arriving after is late.
Book routine medical or dental appointments outside school hours.
Reporting your child's absence
If your child is unwell, please contact the school office on 020 8422 5985 and leave a message on the Absence Line before 9am. You can also email absence@horsenden.ealing.sch.uk
You must state the full reason for your child's absence; 'sick' is not a valid reason.
You must call each day your child is off school.
Let's see if we can hit our target of 96%.
