What is Hurumanu?

Ma te huruhuru, ka rere te manu

Feathers enable the bird to fly - Be prepared, have the right tools to achieve

Hurumanu means 'feathers of the bird' - it is a metaphor for the learning experiences you will have and how each bit of knowledge you acquire will help you soar and achieve your goals

Learn, Create, Share

Ako/Learn: Activate prior knowledge - what you already know. Activate a desire to learn more

Waihanga/Create: Create connections in learning new material

Tohatoha/Share: Cement those connections, seek feedback, develop and refine new connections (going back to Ako and Waihanga again)
