Carry Hornby 

Carry Hornby is a Chinese brush artist and a teacher, born in Taiwan and  travelled around Europe for study purpose. She learnt to use ink and brushes from a very young age. She is best known to paint with ink for her Chinese calligraphy and brush art, though she continues to explore other media.  She has been painting at Blackheath Art Studio regulary and has a permanent exhibition. Her work are featured with the application of pastels, acrylic and charcoal along side her love for ink on brush work. Her creativity and art inspiration come from her daily living . She now lives in South East London and enjoys using colours and her brushes to express her experience of all encounters, and tell story of her life adventures. She is an active  member of SLWA (South London Women Artist) Group Carry Hornby @ SLWA since 2023 and an active Member of LEAN (Lewisham Education Arts Network) as well as SMAG ART artist. This Digital Art - Passion (2023)  is a new media I am exploring. I start to paint digitally in 2021. It has offered me a way to apply technology into the way I paint. I have produced a series of  cover art for Ms Carry's Chinese Story  Podcast & Album production. This paininting above is featured at the podcast serie.
