Most Elementary teachers, administrators, school staff and English learner students and their families are unaware of uses of online translation services such as Google Translate in education. They are unable to use translation Apps tools to facilitate instructions, communication, presentation, and assignments. The use of this technology will greatly enhance the English Learner students experience and knowledge.
Purpose
Purpose
Elementary school teachers, English learner students, and families will learn how to use Google translate to better communicate with each other. Teacher and English learner students will be able to type in or talk to google translate and get their written texts, conversations or text voice translated to any desired or selected languages.
Target Group
Target Group
Teachers, school staff, English learner students and families are the target group. The user will have knowledge of basic computer skills, how to access to the internet, how to open an app, how to type in a text and how to select a language.
Delivery System
Delivery System
Google Sites will be used as the delivery system. Elementary School teachers, students and families will be able to access the tutorial on the website using individual computers. A video tutorial will be included to guide users.
