PILIPINO STUDENTS NEED YOUR HELP!
The Pilipino population is one of the fastest growing minority community in the United States. Everyday new families migrate here in search of a better way of life. In most instances, the young people, of these families, have a time adjusting to a new environment, especially in school. In recent years, the number of students per teacher has increased to the point, where it has become quite apparent, that there is a desperate need for individual tutorial assistance for many Pilipino students, from pre-school to college level, who are having difficulties with subjects, such as English, Math, and Science.
YOU CAN HELP THESE STUDENTS BY OFFERING TUTORIAL ASSISTANCE
Who can tutor? Anyone who is interested in helping can become a tutor. High school and college students may be able to get credit. This practical experience can serve as job training or a valuable contribution to the Pilipino Community.
When can you tutor? Immediately! The hours are flexible, depending upon your schedule and the tutees.
Where can you tutor? Elementary Schools; Jr. High and High Schools; Colleges; Public Libraries; Private Homes (To be determined)
