PYP at HJIS

We are an IB (International Baccalaureate) World School, authorized to offer the PYP, MYP and DP Programmes. IB World Schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education. As a school, we follow the IB framework and implement the AERO Common Core Standards along with IB standards for specialists lessons. 

The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) at HJIS nurtures and develops young students as caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning. through its inquiry-led, transdisciplinary framework, the PYP challenges students to think for themselves and take responsibility for their learning as they explore local and global issues and opportunities in real-life contexts. PYP focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in and beyond classroom.
