Welcome Back!
What a fantastic first week back we've had at Horbury Bridge Academy! Our pupils have settled in brilliantly into their new (or old!) classes, and we are off to a wonderful start in the new school year - we even saw some al fresco chess!
We held our first celebration assembly of the year this afternoon, and there was so much to celebrate already. It was lovely see so many pupils being recognised for their achievements and positive contributions. We have definitely seen plenty of ‘Kindness, Courage and Community’ so far!
All parents are welcome to join us for our weekly celebration assembly. - every Friday at 14:45 in the hall. We look forward to seeing you there!
Mr Butcher has had a lovely first week in Class 3 (and around school). He has asked me to pass on his thanks for the warm welcome he has received from pupils, parents and staff. We are thrilled to have him as part of our team.
Also joining us this week is our new Catering Assistant, Miss Gibson. She is working together with our Catering Manager, Mrs Scott. She joins us from another Wakefield school and has enjoyed her first week - she has been blown away by the friendliness and behaviour of our pupils, which is lovely to hear.
As we wrap up this warm and sunny week, we wish you all a lovely weekend. Enjoy the sunshine and have a restful couple of days. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, ready for week 2…it’ll soon be Christmas!
