Key Stage 2 Production

We are pleased to announce that the annual Key Stage 2 production will take place on Thursday 13th July at 7pm in Ossett Town Hall. Things were touch and go for a while as the Town Hall were unable to confirm if the building work currently in progress would affect the show. Thankfully, it’s a go!

This year’s production is a rip-roaring rework of the classic tale with a fresh take on fame, fortune, and, of course, true love! Packed with fabulous songs and littered with comical moments, I’m sure it will bring the house down!

Wellbeing Week

Plans for Wellbeing Week are in full swing. The week will begin with a Wake-up Shake-up at 08:50 on the playground to which all are invited! In fact, we are doing them all week to start each day with a bang! Following this, Jess Roper, a martial arts kickboxing champion, will visit to open the week with an assembly about dreaming big! She will also be teaching kickboxing to classes throughout the day.

On Tuesday, the whole academy will uproot and move to Coxle Woods for the day, where pupils will enjoy a carousel of activities from forest art to foraging; a team challenge and forest yoga and meditations. Fr. Daniel will also be joining us to lead a school worship amongst the trees before lunch.

On Thursday, we will also be having a day out - this time at Slazenger Sports Club, enjoying a range of activities and sports they have to offer. Other events during the week include wellness workshops with CAMHS, sleep and dental health lessons, Blazepods, Try Golf, Outdoor Adventurous Activities, Green Space Wellbeing in Forest School, and much more!

Also, during the week, each class will be researching and preparing a presentation about an area of wellbeing they are interested in. These will be shared at our Wellbeing Celebration Assembly, which we are holding on Friday. It should be a fantastic week, and we can't wait!
