Horbury Bridge CE J&I Academy

Ofsted

If you haven't seen the message I sent earlier, I am pleased to be able to share with you the report from our recent Ofsted inspection, which arrived today!

We are delighted with the outcome. The report reflects all the great things that have always made Horbury Bridge Academy a really special school, but equally reflects some of the more recent developments, particularly around the curriculum, on which we have been working extremely hard.

Huge thanks must go to the amazing staff team at the academy, to you our parents and carers for your continued support (and lovely comments in the Ofsted survey!) and finally, our incredible pupils - after all, they are the reason we do what we do! You can read the report by clicking here.

Red Nose Day

Many thanks for your support of Red Nose Day 2023. We raised a total of £135 from your contributions - an excellent result!

The Dogs Trust

As part of our ongoing PSHE curriculum, today we had a visit from The Dogs Trust. The sessions, which took place across school, focused on the work of The Dogs Trust do and also how best to look after and stay safe around dogs. They were really informative sessions for pupils and, as always, the children were full of enthusiasm and questions!

Home Learning

Many thanks for your continued feedback regarding Home Learning. From the comments I have received this week, everything seems to be working well. However, if you are still having any issues logging in or setting anything up, please let us know and we will be able to support. If it is an issue specific to a device, please feel free to bring it to school and we can help.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend...rather a different picture to the snow of last Friday!

Best wishes

Mr Tuddenham
