Advent Mass

On a crisp winter’s morning, what better way to get warm than to gather together in the Church to worship together at our Advent Mass. The service was led by Fr Christoper and Fr Daniel and every class played their part. Class 1 wrote and read the prayers; Class 2 decided on the hymns and Class 3 provided the readings and servers. The Christmas season is most definitely underway…

Christmas Fair

…Speaking of which (depending on when you read this), our PFA Christmas Fair is this evening from 5pm until 7 pm. There are loads of stalls, activities…and, of course, a very special visitor, so please come and join us for some festive fun! Many thanks to the Horbury Bridge Academy PFA and the staff team for putting on the event. The PFA is running several events across the year and I know they are always looking for additional help, so if you have some spare time please let them know or pop along to the next meeting - details can be found on the PFA Facebook page.

Athletics

Following the success of the girls’ team last week, the boys followed it up by taking 3rd place in their Pyramid Athletics competition. Just like last week, it was a hard-fought event and the boys represented the academy with great determination and spirit. After combining the point from both events, I‘m delighted to inform you that we finished 2nd place overall! A truly magnificent result - well done! For now, though, the bragging rights remain with the girls (as they were keen to point out!)
