Welcome back to everyone and a particular welcome to the new families who have joined us. We also welcome Mrs Hughes to the catering team. We hope you have all enjoyed these first days at school and that you soon settle in and feel part of our school family.
It has been wonderful to be able to have classes mixing again as we have enjoyed assemblies and playtimes together. In assembly today, we reflected on the positive things in our lives by thinking of '3 good things' about this week. Being back together was mentioned by lots of children! They have all coped incredibly well with the changes so far and are settling well into new classes and routines. Thank you to all of you for your patience and support as we continue to adjust back to 'normal' .

Each class produces a curriculum newsletter so that parents know what aspects of the curriculum their child will be working on each half term.
These can be found on our website under the curriculum tab at Curriculum Newsletters
Yesterday, the Music Service instrumental teachers performed a lively concert for the whole school and introduced the different types of instruments they were playing. The children loved hearing them play popular theme tunes such as Dr Who, Mission Impossible and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Instrumental lessons in school will start again in 2 weeks. We will be able to offer a number of new spaces for Key Stage 2 children (Class 2 and 3) who are interested in learning woodwind (flute, clarinet), drums, strings piano and brass instruments. The Music Service offer instrumental loans. If your child is interested in learning to play, you can register your child for a taster session. please complete the online form here Taster session

What a wonderful first week back! We have loved meeting all of our new starters and helping them to settle into our class. They have tried hard to start learning some of our class rules and have enjoyed exploring our classroom, both indoors and out and learning everyone's names. We would also like to say how impressed we have been with our children who have moved up a year group. All of the children have tried extremely hard at making the right choices and we have seen lots of superstars throughout the week. Next week we will start our topic work, which will start with a visit from the magical story box on Monday. We can't wait for another week of fun and smiles!
What a super start to the year in Class 1. We have been so pleased and proud to see how the children have returned to school confident and happy. This week has been all about settling back into routines and helping our new Year 1s in their transition from Foundation Stage. The children have loved sharing their summer memory photos - it looks like everyone had a fabulous Summer. We agreed on our important class promises, making hand prints to display alongside them as a reminder we all need to follow them so that our class can be a happy and safe place to learn.
Everyone in Class 2 has enjoyed being back with their friends and spending some time mixing with the rest of school again. The children have all been thinking about what they want their class to ‘look like’, ‘sound like’ and ‘feel like’. Everyone in the class signed their name to say they promised to stick to it all year long.
Class 3 have had a brilliant week and have already begun working hard. We had a great time swimming. Even though some of us were a bit nervous, the children made Miss Riley and Mrs Brammer very proud!
