Dear parents,
I'm sure you will have all seen the letter I sent this morning regarding my interim support at Horbury St. Peter’s and Clifton, as well as the letter from our Vice Chair, Scott Leather. Many thanks for the kind words of support I have received—they are much appreciated. Please also accept my apologies again if you found out before our official communication—this was never my intention.
Alongside Mr Butcher, I have spent the last two days at our annual Trust conference, which has been a fantastic time of reflection and planning. It has served as a great reminder of why we do the job we do and, most importantly, who we do it for...
...speaking of whom...
Our pupils have been working hard on their handwriting using our new Kinetic Letters programme. To put their skills to the test, they have been busy completing entries for the Trust’s handwriting competition. Our Reception pupils are also the reigning champions—let’s see if we can keep the title this year!
A reminder that next Thursday is World Book Day, and we are celebrating with a word-themed dress-up! Pupils can come dressed as a word, bring the word along with them, or find any creative way to showcase their chosen word. We can’t wait to see what they come up with! They will be embarking on an exciting adventure through a carousel of book-themed activities, working together in their Earth, Air, Fire, and Water teams. From bringing stories to life through drama and art to solving literary puzzles and creating their own mini masterpieces, it’s set to be a magical and imaginative day celebrating the power of books!
If you haven’t yet booked your parents’ evening appointment, please do so as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and celebrate their achievements. If you need any help with booking, please contact the school office. Thank you for your ongoing support—it makes such a difference to our school community.
Stay safe and have a lovely weekend,
Mr Tuddenham
