Final Week Activities

Monday

  • No Forest School for Class 3

Tuesday

  • Christingle
    Our Christingle Service will take place on Tuesday at 10am. We will be having a collection to support the work of the Children's Society with children and young people. See the link: Where your money goes

  • Collection envelopes are being sent home today and can be returned to school on any day next week

  • Year 3 Forest School session as normal

  • No Forest School for Nursery

  • Class 3 PE as normal

  • Class 1 PE as normal


Wednesday

  • Christmas Dinner

  • Reception PE session as normal

  • Class 3 PE as normal

  • Young Leaders will not take place this week but will resume on Wednesday 6th January.


Thursday

  • No Forest School for Class 1

Friday

  • Christmas Party Lunch

  • Christmas Jumper and Party Day: Children will be able to wear Christmas jumpers to add to the festive feeling

  • Class 2 PE as normal

  • No Forest School for Reception

  • No PE for Nursery

  • School closes for Christmas. We will return on Monday 4th January.

Christmas Magic Shows

Christmas Reflections

This week we were joined by magician Matthew who entertained all the year groups with his amazing magic tricks and balancing acts. The children loved this special Christmas treat and had lots of fun!

Katherine, the Children and Families worker from Church, has worked with all classes in school over the last 2 weeks, helping them to reflect on how the different events in the Christmas story is relevant to our lives today.

WhizzPopBang are offering some science ideas for Christmas, including: Make a toy Father Christmas who uses friction to climb his way up a piece of string; use kitchen science to bubble up some tasty lava toffee , investigate capillary action with a ‘magic star’ trick and a 3D Rudolph optical illusion. Christmas Activities
Wakefield Council have put together a Holly-days at Home family pack, to help people stay safe and stay jolly this Christmas. With a cracking party playlist, festive films, candy cane crafts and plenty more inside – it's sure to be lots of festive fun! Holly-days at Home Pack

Before and After School Childcare
Just a quick reminder that some of our KS2 breakfast club sessions are now full. We will continue to update the diary dates (see below) should any childcare sessions be at full capacity. Please book or cancel in advance, by emailing the office. Invoices will continue to be emailed monthly but please contact the office if you would like these more regularly.

Isobel: trying hard to stay focused in class and talking part in class discussions all week. Keep it up!

Brioney: Producing a brilliantly written opening to a descriptive piece. Well done - we were blown away!

Outside Awards:

We still love to hear what the children have been achieving outside of school and the way they use their talents and skills.
