1. Set it Off F. Gary Gray, 1996
This is my number movie because you can see the women grew up in a bad environment. I feel like others can learn you'll be down to do things with those close to you, but when it comes to putting your life at risk, you should think about what you're doing. In the end you could just end up losing great friends. With trying to live their life's freely. Being greedy and wanting power don’t work with bad intentions.
2. Poetic Justice John Singleton, 1993
The movie is one of my favorites because Janet Jackson and Tupac star in the movie. It also relates to problems that go on in minority communities. You might think you don’t like a person because of where he/she is from. When you take time out to get to know them, You may fall in love with who they are. After a heartbreak would you be ready to open your heart again for someone?
3. A Thin Line Between Love and Hate Martin Lawrence, 1996
This movie can teach men and women not to take advantage of a person or not to waste anyone's time. You might expect something different from the situation. It is a comedy/romance. That some women is not going to take it lightly and let a man just dump them after having their way. Revenge will be out seeking.
4. Love & Basketball Gina Prince-Bythewood, 2000
What I feel like many can learn from this movie is you can start off hating someone's guts but when you take the time to hangout, you could be the best friends or maybe lovers. It teaches lessons like to not let your ego beat you down.
5. Class Act Randall Miller, 1992
You’ll realize your new life As in get ready for the new year of college. Letting go of our past being able to move on. will change you. Either you have responsibilities or have to grow to become that better person for those around you and yourself.
6. Parent Trap Nancy Meyers, 1998
This movie can help others know that they are not alone. There are people around you that lives different life than you. Its okay to become friends and learn more about each other. Not knowing the two or many of you all will grow so close to become family.
7. Boyz in The Hood John Singleton, 1991
This film can teach you because you live in an environment that doesn't mean you have to make such bad choices. You will miss childhood friends. Life will someday change for you.
8. The Mask Chuck Russell, 1994
Sometimes people have a mask to cover who they really are. You realize it can be fun but hiding your identity can bring problems. Some people you see that walks as if they have it all sometimes be putting on a front. People can get carried away with this new persona of theirs to. Start doing bad things never done before. You can learn from this movie to just be yourself. Don't need to be someone new to get things going your way. You can grow to be a better person. Have positive characteristics qualities.
9. Rush Hour Brett Ratner, 1998
What people can learn from this movie is if you work with someone different of course you will have moments of not understanding each other, that does not mean you can’t unite and end up accomplishing many things together.
10. B.A.P.S Robert Townsend, 1997
If you have this passion for a thing or career you always wanted. You can make that come true just by trusting your gut. You don’t have to lie about your identity because those who live in Beverly Hills, even in a million dollar mansion, will accept you for who you are. Who knows you are helping them look at life differently in a positive way.
