Athletics, Activities and Events Coordinator
The Athletics, Activities and Events Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all events, athletics & activities align with HOPE's mission and values, as well as promote a positive and inclusive community culture. They will work to build relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community members to enhance the resources available for HOPE students and families.
In addition to event planning, the Athletics, Activities and Events Coordinator will assist in coordinating transportation, equipment, and supplies needed for events, athletics & activities. They will also be responsible for communicating event details to staff, students, and families through various channels such as newsletters, social media, and flyers.
The Athletics, Activities and Events Coordinator will play a crucial role in fostering a sense of belonging and engagement among HOPE students and families. By providing opportunities for students to participate in athletics, arts, and other extracurricular athletics & activities, they can help students develop new skills, build confidence, and form meaningful connections with their peers.
Overall, the Athletics, Activities and Events Coordinator will be an essential member of the HOPE team and the Community Engagement department who contributes to creating an engaging and fulfilling environment for our students. They will work closely with the Manager of Marketing and Communications to plan and execute a variety of athletics & activities that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our students. The Athletics, Activities and Events Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available for each activity, as well as maintaining a safe and clean environment. By fostering a sense of community and promoting social interaction, the Athletics, Activities and Events Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall quality of life for our students at HOPE. Their dedication and commitment to creating meaningful experiences will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
The Attendance and Discipline Coordinator provides leadership and direction to support student learning and achievement through the coordination of prevention and intervention services. This position will address individual student issues and provide support, technical assistance and training in the area of truancy reduction, dropout prevention, restorative discipline, classroom management and behavior support. Manage, analyze, and communicate data, including attendance, truancy, dropout and behavioral data. This position works with the HOPE Leadership and Learning Site staff to monitor, coordinate and implement needed interventions.
Curriculum Specialist Literacy
Serves as the secondary literacy content expert with the goal of ensuring high levels of student achievement in literacy. This position will support and promote deeper learning through effective professional development, professional learning community(PLC) leadership, and the development of supplemental core and intervention curriculum resources. Focuses heavily on delivering high-quality instructional materials through the lens of resource development, curation, refinement, implementation, and continual improvement.
Core curriculum content expert for assigned content area grades 6-12. Familiar with the scope and sequence of core curriculum courses including standards alignment, background knowledge, and key terms and concepts taught in courses. In-depth understanding of any performance-based tasks (projects, labs, etc) in course. Makes recommendations for prerequisites for the courses.
Leads the development, implementation, modeling, and continual use of supplemental curriculum resources aligned to the grade-level Colorado Academic Standards that allow students to utilize critical thinking skills and explore real-world connections to content
Leads the development, curation, and implementation of intervention-level resources that build student knowledge and skills and promote access to grade-level content
Oversee the implementation of the Senior/Graduation Capstone course and student portfolios. Refine resources based on feedback from instructors and students
Collaborate with team members to maintain grade-level “Year At A Glance” Overview documents
EARSS Student Support Specialist
The role of the EARSS Student Support Specialist is to provide a comprehensive program to assist 55 students that are over age and under credit complete the workforce development pathway and graduate from high school. This position is responsible for determining the participating students, providing support to assist each student access the curriculum and complete their coursework and work with the Learning Site to insure progress. This position is based in the HOPE Central Office in Englewood and will engage primarily with students working remotely using online curriculum.
Using an algorithm, work with the evaluator to determine the 55 participants.
Meet with each participant, parent and site staff to explain the program, determine the schedule and complete necessary paperwork.
Work with schedulers to identify and schedule required courses.
Communicate and coordinate with Learning Sites and HOPE staff for program continuity.
English Language Development (ELD) Paraeducator
The ELD Paraeducator is a site/Learning Center based instructional leadership position with the primary responsibility of coordination of core content support, language development, and intervention programming for students. This is accomplished by collaborating with Site Coordinators and other staff to to serve the needs of our English Learners through:
Professional Preparation and Planning;
Instruction
Assessment, Data, and Progress monitoring of student learning;
Communication and collaboration with all stakeholders to provide a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment; and
Professionalism and commitment to community.
Ensure that all students have access to and receive appropriate instruction to meet grade-level content and language standards and to address academic gaps as assigned
Uses strategies to actively engage students during instruction
Implements intervention program with fidelity adhering to time, grouping, and lesson plans to accelerate student learning
Consistently teaches Powerblock groups to assigned students, completes attendance and tracks grades for these students
Coordinate with Site Coordinators, Learning Center Mentors, Edgenuity’s Student Support Coordinator and virtual teachers to ensure that all EL students have access to and receive appropriate instruction to meet grade-level content and language standards and to address academic gaps.
Provide differentiated support to address the needs and context of mentor and their EL students; including co-planning, role modeling, resource management, and collaborating on intervention processes.
Pushes into classes to support EL learners during critical thinking and other offline activities
Pulls small groups as needed for additional EL acquisition support
Instructional Coach
The Instructional Coach works with the Learning Site and HOPE instructional staff to support implementing and delivering effective, high-quality core and intervention instruction at the secondary level. Coaches are responsible for individual coaching of designated staff, delivering site-based professional development, and supporting school-wide professional development efforts related to the HOPE’s UIP improvement strategies and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Instructional Coaching to 6-8 staff members (Mentors, Paras, Site Coordinators) within the assigned region per coaching cycle Models effective instructional practices and pedagogy, including varied opportunities for student demonstration and the use of appropriate manipulatives Provides meaningful and constructive feedback to assigned staff members Supports and participates in the lesson planning process, including incorporating EL strategies and differentiation to maximize student learning and growth
Models and coaches identified staff members on the instructional delivery of approved curriculum with a focus on student learning outcomes and student teaming protocols that promote critical thinking, collaborate and student voice Follows a two-week cycle of classroom-based instruction observations followed by a debrief and action planning conference for each observation that is focused on increasing student achievement
through effective instruction Actively participates in classroom instruction (model lessons and co-teaching) Supports staff being coached and other staff in collecting, reviewing and analyzing informal and formal assessment data, including regular review of performance tasks, to make instructional decisions
Instructional Paraprofessional
The Instructional Paraprofessional will work with students in the classroom and in small groups under the supervision of a licensed specialist. The Para will deliver intervention lessons, progress monitor, and reteach as needed to ensure student successful completion of the task. The Para works closely with SPED, ELD, general education, and students in the MTSS process, and supports other students as needed and appropriate.
Provide differentiated support to address the needs of EL, SPED and general education students as directed, manage resources, and collaborate on intervention processes.
Demonstrate knowledge of HOPE Online curriculum as well as intervention programs.
Ensure that all students have access to and receive appropriate instruction to meet grade-level content and language standards and to address academic gaps as assigned.
Use strategies to actively engage students during instruction.
Implement an intervention program with fidelity adhering to time, grouping, and lesson plans to accelerate student learning.
Gain proficiency in administering and supporting learning sites in the administration of HOPE Online required assessments (AIMSWEB, iReady, CMAS, ACCESS, SAT/PSAT) and Edgenuity performance tasks.
Provide support in implementation of Tier 2 individual student plans (Read, ELL, IEPs, RtI/MTSS).
Responsible for providing individual and/or small group instructional strategies to students with special needs under the supervision of licensed staff.
Make independent decisions within appropriate parameters; implementing team designed behavior support plans; monitoring and supporting students during special activities, preparing and modifying instructional materials; collecting data for IEP goals and behavior plans.
Monitoring and providing feedback on student progress, maintaining student confidentiality and adapting to changes in responsibilities and schedules.
LC Support - Enrollment and Records
SUMMARY:
The LC Support - Enrollment and Records staff, as integral members of the HOPE team and the Community Engagement department, will work closely with Learning Sites to develop and maintain effective partnerships. This position will provide support to ensure the delivery of services related to school admission, pupil count, student records and state audit compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
§ Execution of all student enrollment procedures, including review of applications for new and re-enrolling students, student data updates, student transfers, transcript requests, production of student IDs.
§ Build strong relationships between HOPE, authorizing School District registrars, Colorado Department of Education and Learning Site Directors and staff.
§ Support all Learning Site student recruitment activities.
§ Executes student records procedures, including transfers, student records and transcript evaluations and requests
§ Evaluates, prepares, modifies and maintains scholastic records and the input of related student data into the student information system
§ Maintenance of student files in the State of Colorado’s “Enrich” online IEP management system, including deadline tracking for initial evaluations, annual reviews and re-evaluations, distribution of completed IEPs to all stakeholders
§ Requests, receives, digitally stores, evaluates and distributes incoming records appropriately
§ Updates data and documents to files and evaluates records for compliance with requirements
§ Utilizes and updates the computer database of student records requested and received.
§ Assists with audit preparation, as needed
§ Supports both General and Special Education student records.
PD & Assessment Coordinator
The Professional Development & Assessment Coordinator position is a full-time, non-exempt position. Employees in this position follow the Year Round Work Calendar, as determined annually. The expected work week is 40 hours, from Monday - Friday.

This position coordinates, conducts, and evaluates the HOPE professional development program. This position is also the school assessment coordinator responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and processing all state and local assessments.
Responsible for monitoring, scheduling, and attendee notification of in-person and virtual trainings
Provides facilitation support during live and remotely delivered classes (e.g., assist with class exercises and interactions, run virtual meetings, troubleshoot access or other technical issues for attendees and presenters).
Maintain annual calendar for Curriculum and Instruction Team and ensure professional development components of the HOPE Year at a Glance calendar & HOPE Master Google Calendar are accurate and timely
Collaborate with office support staff to maintain organization, order and cleanliness of all training areas
Collaborate with office support staff to provide logistical support including room reservation and food service for in-person trainings
Collaborate with presenters on the preparation of training including facility setup, preparation and distribution of training aids, instructional materials, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids; sets up audiovisual equipment
Collaborate with Human Resources and Community Engagement to ensure district-mandated PD is completed by all HOPE, Learning Site employees, and 3rd party virtual teachers
School Counselor
The School Counselor/Career Counselor is involved with various aspects of post-secondary readiness for high school students. This position supports students in developing post-secondary plans through community outreach programs dedicated to either career or college preparedness. Students are provided opportunities to develop academically in relationship to their interests, abilities and career plans. Community and college engagement is a key factor in assisting students understand the variety of careers available. The ultimate goal is to prepare students for their future and improve the high school graduation rate.
The School Counselor will be knowledgeable and use the American School Counselor Association Standards. Understand the rules and regulations regarding student confidentiality and maintain a professional ethics
Assist in transcript review and scheduling for students to support graduation Insuring that students are aware of requirements for graduation and college admission
Ensure that each student 6-12 completes required activities for ICAP (individual career and academic plan)
Determine student outcomes and sequence of career experiences at each grade level with each Learning Center to provide necessary instruction and experiences
The School Counselor will work with students to identify their career goal based on interests and abilities
Help students make decisions, set goals, and take necessary action to build and develop post-secondary plans. Assist students in understanding the relationship between academics and career competencies.
Lead students with completing interest inventories and discussions around post-secondary plans. Assist students with creating strategies to achieve future career goals with success and satisfaction.
Develop and schedule post-secondary student visits including colleges, universities, trade/vocational schools, business tours etc.
Conduct student seminars and address relevant topics to support school completion and post-secondary preparedness. Provide classroom instruction on career development, financial literacy, ICAP and other topics designed to support school completion and post-secondary transition
Collaborate with Leadership Team relating to policies and procedures.
The School Counselor will provide individual support and counseling to students
Consult with and serve as a resource for students, staff and parents regarding developmental needs of students, which may include MTSS, special education support, referrals to mental health providers etc.
Develop career experiences for students that meet their career needs and interests including internships and job shadowing, career speakers, professional interviews etc.
The School Counselor will perform other duties as assigned.
School Social Worker
The School Social Worker addresses the social well-being of students in grades 6-12, working with both the general student population and students whose needs are identified in an Individualized Learning Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan. The School Social Worker provides information and counseling to help students, parents and school staff work together to solve problems by communicating and providing referrals to other resources and develops and promotes good community relations among HOPE, Learning Center and community clientele.
The School Social Worker will provide mental health education and support to students (both special and general education) using a three tier model including individual, group and instructional support.
Consult with parents and school personnel to address student social and emotional issues. Assist families in understanding mental health issues and accessing community agencies and resources.
Provide mental health crisis intervention at assigned Learning Centers including suicide and threat assessments.
Maintain accurate and up to date records students whether direct or indirect services. Information will be documented as required by the school and authorizing school district. Create, organize and update case history records and prepare reports, according to deadlines.
Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) as required for students Develop behavior plans for students struggling with emotional regulation.
Deliver professional development on mental health topics including trauma, poverty, mental health issues and effective practice to support student success including coaching staff on appropriate responses to mental health issues.
Complete required assessment, interviews and observations, complete paperwork and participate in IEP/504 meetings as required students with disabilities or those suspected of having a disability

Special Education Teacher
The SPED Teacher / Learning Specialist is a full time, exempt position. Employees in this position follow the Academic Year Calendar for HOPE’s Instructional staff, as determined annually. The expected workday is to be on site 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the Learning Center’s operational hours, if based in one Learning Center.
The role of the SPED Teacher / Learning Specialist is to identify, evaluate, and interpret student data; provide consultation for teachers, parents and administrators; provide direct instruction; coordinate and communicate day to day operations with students, teachers, and related service providers; develop and implement Individual Learning Plans (IEPs); and be a contributing member of the learning services and school teams. This position may include working with all students in grades 6-12.
Manages time to fulfill job duties and responsibilities
Facilitate the special education process and verify that IEP services are implemented in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
Identify and assess academic, social emotional, and communication needs of referred students with SPED team members to determine eligibility for special education services.
Schedule and facilitate special education evaluation and IEP meetings.
Deliver instruction within special education and general education settings.
Monitor student IEP goals to determine effectiveness of direct instruction and use of accommodations. Enter and report progress every quarter.
Identify, assess, and problem solve around the barriers that affect learning and academic/social emotional growth.
Monitor and enforce social and acceptable behavior.
Assist with administering formative and summative assessments.
Assist general education teachers with preparation of classroom materials to meet student accommodations and learning level.
