BIO:

¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español!  Welcome to Spanish class! I am thrilled to be back at Spain Park High School this year as a Spanish 1 and 2 teacher for my 11th year!  I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Montevallo where I majored in both Spanish and psychology and then completed my Master’s in Education at Samford University.  In 2022 I became 1 of only 32 National Board Certified Spanish teachers in the state of Alabama.

My main goal is more than enhancing students’ understanding of the Spanish language; it is to improve their methods of communication with one another and to widen the perspective in which they view the world.

SUPPLY LIST:

Daily Student Supplies:

• Binder (1" or 1.5" recommended) and paper

• Writing Utensil (pen/pencil)

• Minimum 4 highlighters (Can use markers/colored pens instead if desired)

• Colors: colored pencils, markers, Flair pens, anything you would like!

• WIRED Earbuds - A cheap pair that can be left with school supplies at all time.

• Spanish 2 ONLY - You will be asked to purchase one Spanish language novel for $10 

Every day you will need to bring a charged Chromebook to class as well as earbuds for listening activities.
