Welcome to the Art Room!!

I was always one of those kids in art class that hated when the bell rang.  Can't I just stay here all day?!  I practically lived in the art room in high school and convinced my art teacher that I needed an extra independent study my senior year.   Luckily, Mr. Weber gave it to me and ever since then, I've wanted to be an art teacher.  So, now I really do get to stay in the art room all day!  I have a Bachelor's degree in Art from Carroll University with a minor in Secondary Education and Middle School Math.  I have been teaching art for over 10 years at many different levels.  I have experience in the high school, elementary school, and now I am happy to be part of the Homer Junior High family.  

About Me:

I have a wonderful husband and 2 amazing children who keep my life busy and filled with laughter.  You will almost always see me starting the day with a large cup of coffee and I love anything chocolate...especially cake!  

My favorite art mediums are acrylic paint and ceramics and I've worked with many individuals and businesses to create commissioned artwork over the years.  During my time off, you will find me browsing on Pinterest, working on home projects, painting, or watching The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross.
