Senior Lounge

A senior lounge would give seniors another place to go besides the library and would allow the library to be used for academic purposes. One obstacle to creating the Senior Lounge is finding an appropriate space.

The senior lounge would be a privilege earned that could be based on grades and attendance. There would need to be a staff scheduled to supervise the lounge. The creation of a Senior Lounge would free up library space for underclassmen to get their work done in an environment with less distractions.

Senior Madasyn Sonnacchio, said: “Yes, I think it’d be cool to go somewhere that only seniors can go and hangout.”

Mr. Zimmerman, library assistant, said: “I definitely think it would benefit the underclassmen because often seniors who come here distract other students who are trying to work.”

Having a senior lounge would be a benefit to the student body but questions about location and management still remain.
