On the magical Saturday night of November 24, students from Homer and Cortland High School celebrated the 67th Annual Holiday Cotillion. This year’s theme was Winter in the Castle. From 7:30 to 11:00 students danced the night away to many songs including upbeat music and slow songs. Walking into the dance felt magical. There were Christmas trees with lights which were all nice and bright. When students got to the end of the hallway, they were awaited by a professional photographer who took their picture. Little did the students know that their photos would be printed out at the end of the night and placed in an elegant photo holder.
Within Corey Union, there was a snack bar with a fondue machine! Strawberries, marshmallows, dark chocolate, and milk chocolate were offered. If students were not up for dancing, there was a photo booth they could use. There was a whole table full of props for anyone to use. For me, that was the best part. Bringing all my friends together, taking funny, memorable photos made my night. Close to 10:00 two students, one from each high school, won a prize. From Homer High School, Sheridan Monroe won. Overall, it was an amazing, fun night for everyone to enjoy. I just cannot wait for the next cotillion!
