Let’s face it: it’s high school, and we all deal with stress at one point or another. The fact is, not all of us handle it in a healthy manner. Some may watch endless hours of videos or play video games (heck, some of us even clean or cook) instead of handling what is stressing us out. The first step in handling your stress is identifying what is stressing you. If it's something that can be done, DO IT! Homework, long term projects, procrastinating retaking a test, RETAKE IT! If it's another cause such as uncertainty about the future, concerns about college, fear of failure, tougher academics, or even social pressures, the solution will be different.
If what's stressing you out is a test or long term project, try thinking about it in little steps. You will have to do things a little every day, but it's better than doing it all last minute. Lowering your standards a bit might help with some academic stress. If college is stressing you out, look for scholarships. There are plenty out there; you just have to take the time to look. Finally, take care of your mental health. Take a walk, read a good book, or listen to your favorite music. And don't forget, everyone has days where all they seem to do is mess up, but only for a day. It won't last forever.
