The Spring is My Valentine

The spring is my Valentine.

The flowers are my lovers,

with their sweet perfume

filling me with butterflies.

I let them fly around in my thoughts,

Blowing a breeze of warm

gentle air around

with their paint splattered wings.

The air spreads the seeds to other lands.

I watch as they sprout

knowing my valentine is eternal

Only stopping to rest

In preparation for the coming February.
