The Snow Brings Tears

The snow brings tears to the eyes

As the presents brought a smile.

The cold pierces like an arrow;

I have felt no warmth since that day,

Since I felt your frozen heart.

The evergreens fade,

Just as your image does in my mind.

Your ribbon was cut too short,

Your box opened too early,

And your contents were taken for granted.

This I know now:

That I want only one gift for Christmas,

One I lost and yearn for once again
