There are many factors to achieving success in high school. A great way to have a successful year is to join a club. There is much to gain from this and virtually nothing to lose.
Homer is blessed with an inspired community. The teachers, mentors, and leadership thirst only for our success on a rounded scale. This includes both academic, extracurricular, and social prosperity for each student. Clubs offer opportunities to spend time with people who have similar interests (and similar taste buds, as snacks are a common theme at meetings).
Aside from the good times, participation in the community is a must for admission into secondary education schools. Whether your future involves a trade school, or an undergraduate college, this is an area one will likely be asked to elaborate on. For this reason, take twenty-five minutes out of your day to attend a club meeting. The good times await your arrival.
All this considered, Homer High School is lucky to have a wide array of clubs available for participation. If you have any ideas for a new one, Mrs. Schneider is always open to these opportunities for expansion, and support is never hard to find on Homer’s campus.
For more information on the clubs we have to offer, please take five minutes to look at the course description link on the high school home page. This helpful link offers information on not only our clubs, but also available courses that you may not know about. Learn what Youth and Government, Odyssey Yearbook, The Olympian, the Science Olympiad, SADD, International Club, and Environmental Club have to offer you, along with when and where they meet. Lend an ear to the announcements; they may be helpful regarding these areas.
We will see you soon at an upcoming meeting!
