Joseline obtained her undergraduate degree in General Psychology from Norfolk State University in 2002. Joseline earned her Master’s in Professional Counseling from Argosy University in 2007. Joseline is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is experienced working with individuals and families affected by substance abuse, mental health disorders, dual/ triple diagnoses (mental health/substance use/medical) as well as custody/ legal issues during her career with various systems in the counties of Arlington and Fairfax, and Prince William, Virginia as well as in the District of Columbia. Joseline has utilized her skills in the hospital, residential, community and private practice mental health settings. She continues to enjoy working closely with other providers in both the school and community mental health systems.
Joseline has a strong background in Counseling Psychology and Clinical Supervision and is a Board Approved Supervisor for licensure in Virginia (Counseling). She has worked in the intensive home-based counseling industry for over a decade. She uses both directive and non-directive play therapy techniques with young children, and adolescents as well as solution-focused brief therapies and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques while working with adolescents and adults. Joseline enjoys working with individuals, families, and couples to develop a healthy dynamic. Joseline specifically focuses on identifying root issues and developing skills to improve communication in fractured relationships.
Joseline also has a background in senior management, independent practice and clinical consultation. She has exprience both managing and conducting various clinical audits.
