I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Thank you to all who attended Back to School Night! I feel truly grateful to have such supportive families! If you have any questions or concerns along the way please let us know! Remember to see your orange folder for Firehouse info, Parade of Saints info, the presentations, and your child's sight words.

This week:
Your child should also have a packed snack every day. Please pack in a separate bag/container in their lunchbox or bookbag.
GYM is on Thursdays every week. Students should wear their black HT Gym shorts, red HT gym shirt, and Sneakers every Thursday.
This week Academics:
Religion: Lord's Prayer, Morning Offering, Ch.1 We Belong to Jesus' Church
Math: ordinal numbers, compare, ordinals 1st - 10th
Reading: Sight word review, Guided Reading - Ms. Buda tested all students on their sight words. We will send a copy home at Back to School Night. Please review with your child throughout the week. We will test these 3 times a year.
Grammar: Punctuation and capitalization & Nouns
Writing: punctuation and capitalization - independent writing
Science: Unit 1 Describing the life stages of a human being - Please make sure to send in a baby picture of your child!
Social Studies: What is a citizen? The Pledge of Allegiance - Hispanic Heritage Month
Homework: Spelling, Math workbook, and Reading
Reading - Your child should read each night with you for 10-15 minutes! Start to record in your reading logs in the back of the blue copy book. Little Books have been sent home. Please let us know in the reading log how your child did!
Spelling - Please follow the layout we did on the first week of School.
Math - Math homework will be in their math workbook each night or a paper I send home in their folder. This week we will primarly use the Math workbook. All lessons being assigned were previously taught.
If you have not sent in headphones or an art smokc yet please do so this week!
**We are still waiting on the other books. I will let everyone know when those books will be sent home.
