Dear Third Grade Parents,

March is here, and we are hoping to begin seeing signs that spring is on the way! The students are looking forward to warmer days and the new season of growth and renewal. This is always an exciting and refreshing time.

This month we will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.  Beyond the fun traditions, we will focus on the importance of following the example of Jesus in our daily lives, showing kindness, forgiveness, patience, and love to everyone around us.

As we continue our Lenten journey, we are encouraging the children to stay close to Jesus through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.

• Fasting – making small sacrifices with joyful hearts

• Almsgiving – helping others through acts of kindness and generosity

Our goal is to help the students understand that Lent is a time to grow in faith and become more like Christ in both words and actions.
