Hello!

October was a fun packed month! Even though we only have a few weeks until Thanksgiving, those days will be filled with recognizing the things we are thankful for and appreciating the things we have. We will have a week long Kindness week and also have a few family evening events such as STEAM night and Barnes and noble night.  

Academic Focuses for the month in each subject area:

Math :  Place value of tens and ones. Comparing two digit numbers/ estimating and rounding. 

Grammar :  Nouns; common & proper, singular & plural, possessive.

Science : Investigating the Physical Properties of Matter/ Magnets 

Writing  : How to articles 

Reading/Phonics  :  short vowel sounds in words- guided reading - comprehension focus

Social Studies :  wants & needs, laws & rules. Election day/ Native American Heritage month. 

   Religion : Saints as heroes, how God shows us to be a member of the Church
