Your child will have received a CGP book that is to be used for their English and maths homework each week. The children then need to bring these books in every Wednesday to be checked. These books need to be carefully looked after as any lost/damaged beyond use books will need to be purchased by the parent/carer.
Please remember to use E-Safety when using websites. We will occasionally also link to external websites when we feel the content is useful for home-learning. Although all websites are checked beforehand for suitability we cannot control adverts that may be on the websites (especially if linked to the main computer-user's browsing history) and so we would advise visiting them with your child.
At school we use the browser extension 'uBlock Origin' to block adverts - it is available for most browsers. On mobile devices the Opera & Brave browsers have built-in ad-blockers where Chrome does not. For YouTube we use the 'AdBlock for YouTube' extension. Please check all online resources carefully for suitability before your children use them.
We recommend the NSPCC website www.net-aware.org.uk for advice on specific apps and websites,
and there are other useful e-safety links on our website www.holytrinityhalstead.com/esafety
