Offered to young adult undergraduate and post-graduate men discerning God’s call, the Pikes Peak Discernment Retreat offers retreatants an extended weekend of prayer, fraternity, and hiking in the mountain area surrounding Cascade, Colorado – home of the Holy Cross Novitiate.
Get a taste of the life of a Holy Cross novice as you discern God’s call in quiet solitude and joy-filled community, climb the foothills of Pikes Peak, “America’s Mountain,” and witness Holy Cross novices' first profession of the vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience in the Congregation of Holy Cross!

Arrival: Please plan to arrive to Colorado Springs on Thursday, 7/30
Departure: Please plan your return trip to depart from Colorado Springs on Monday, 8/3
You can fly directly to Colorado Springs, or you can fly in and out of the Denver airport and take the Groome Transportation Shuttle to and from The Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs
Hiking
Hiking activities are at an easy to moderate level, but keep in mind that the elevation in Cascade is over 7,000 feet
Packing
Suit and tie will be needed for attending the First Vows Mass
Clothes/supplies suited for hiking
Long socks, hiking boots/shoes, hats, and water bottles
Appropriate clothing for Sunday Mass and meetings with Holy Cross Religious
Pricing Information
The Congregation of Holy Cross will cover the cost of food and lodging while in Cascade. The only cost you are responsible for is your travel to and from Colorado.
