7-14 miles per day with a 25lb+ pack.
Rain, mud, rocks, and lots of elevation change.
Cooking, water filtration, bear-proofing, camp setup and takedown.
Sweeping views, river valleys, and rocky peaks.
Daily Mass & Liturgy of the Hours in the outdoors.
Reflection on the Gospel of Creation.
Small group check-ins and reflections.
Day of prayer at a church, abbey, or holy site.

Meet after the USC Football Game, load the vans and spend the night at Moreau Seminary and Scholasticate
Sunday-Monday, October 19-20
Morning Mass & 12 hour drive to New York
Monday-Thursday, October 20-23
Backpack & camp in the Adirondack High Peaks Wilderness
Thursday, October 23
Finish hike & drive 5 hours to King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA
Friday, October 24
Day of rest, prayer, and pilgrimage at King's College
Saturday, October 25
Return to Notre Dame (10 hour drive)
PRE-HIKE PREPARATIONS
2 Preparatory Hikes (October 4-5; October 12)
3 Evening Prep Sessions 9-10:15 PM in 210 Remick Family Hall (September 23, September 30, October 7)
2 Gear Checks (October 14 at 8pm; October 18 at 12:30pm)
Provide your own rain-proof clothing and footwear (we will provide the rest of the gear).
