A little bit about Mrs. Petri...

My name is Marian Petri, and I am one of the Holy Cross Catholic School Counselors. This is my 2nd year here at Holy Cross but has been in the education profession for 28 years! My previous classroom experiences include teaching 3rd grade, my role as the inclusion specialist in a K-5 school, as well as the learning and behaviorist teacher 3-5th grade. My love of kids and supporting them emotionally as a school counselor all began in the Blue Valley School District at Morse Elementary 23 years ago. My desire to use faith as part of supporting students' emotional needs guided me to Holy Cross. I feel extremely lucky to be working in the private sector, especially in a private Catholic school where I have the freedom to merge my love of God with my passion and love for all kids.  

When I'm not at Holy Cross, I love spending time with my family, my husband (Mike), our two sons (Cole and Maclain), and our daughter (Ava).  We have two dogs, Lola and Roxy too.  I love to ride bikes, spend time with my mom who now resides in Overland Park, watch my children in their extracurricular activities, and travel.
