What makes us so special?

Year 4 are special because we are a kind and caring family who celebrate our differences and achievements. We have a community of respect and love as we work together throughout our learning journey. We aim to persevere in spite of challenges to help us achieve our dreams. The goal we all share is to reach for the stars as nothing is impossible.

Important dates

All important information and dates are shared on our parent communication - WEDUC. You will also find termly newsletters here. Please speak to the school office if you do not have access to this app.

Reading

Reading plays a significant part in a child's life as it offers them a means of exploration and inspiration. For this reason, it is important that your child reads every day at home for at least 20 minutes. This will ensure that your child is able to experience the magical world that literature has to offer. We require parents to sign a child's planner each day to show that this is happening. Children will be rewarded with the 'star chart' system to celebrate their successes as they continue to grow throughout their time at school.

Children are encouraged to further their literary knowledge on Reading Plus where there is a wealth of books for children to choose from. Please find the link for this website attached below:

Maths

Times table practice is essential for every Year 4 student. Children should practice their times tables regularly and can use websites such as TTRockstars to help them improve. Please find the link for this website attached below:
