Mother's Day May 10
Create flowers using different art media such as drawing, painting or collage or come up with your own favorite idea. Find flowers in a calendar, in a book, on a nature walk to observe or come up with your own creative flower.
2nd graders feel free to send pictures of the optional art activities or your own creative art ideas to Mrs. Breidel to be added to the 2nd grade pic collage!!! brekat@holmen.k12.wi.us
Here is an art idea for a rainy day. Paint a rainbow! If you don’t have paint, you can use crayons, markers, colored pencils, colored paper…etc. Your kiddos can write a phrase/quote under the rainbow, leave it blank, or draw a picture! Join the social media movement by putting your rainbow in your window for your neighbors! 2nd graders feel free to send pictures of the optional art activities or your own creative art ideas to the 2nd grade art teacher: brekat@holmen.k12.wi.us to be added to the 2nd grade pic collage!!!
Hi everyone. here's a little video I took Monday as I packed up the art room. Hope you all are doing well. Mr B.
Earth Day Art Activity Directions:
Draw a circle on a sheet of paper and glue (or tape?) torn blue and green paper to create a mini-Earth. (If you do not have blue and green construction paper, get creative! You could paint paper or color it with markers, crayons or colored pencils. You could also use tones of blue and green from old magazines).
Next, use the writing prompt: I can heal the Earth and make it a better place by:____________
Together, discuss ways you can heal and improve the Earth to celebrate Earth Day everyday! If your child is at an age they are able to write, they can write the writing prompt and their answer. Add a band-aid to the Earth after you are all done!
Color Wheel Challenge! Create a color wheel with objects found in the house or from outside.
