I'm thrilled to begin my fourth year teaching English in the Holmdel School District, where I continue to infuse my creativity and passion into the learning environment.
I’m joining the Holmdel School District from Perth Amboy where I spent nine years teaching English, working to adapt the Writer’s Workshop model for high school students and creating individualized learning plans for students in the after-school learning center. Prior to that, I worked at Thorne Middle School in Middletown, NJ as a language arts teacher.
I grew up in Middletown, New Jersey, and currently live in Red Bank with my husband, Brian, (a Holmdel alum, 1998), and our two daughters, Adeline and Avery. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English, a certificate of advanced study in Common Core State Standards of English, and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have trained at the Middlesex Summer Institute to prepare students for both the AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature courses.
I have experience working with students of all ability levels, from honor students to English language learners and students with specialized focus areas in STEAM and Art academies. I look forward to welcoming and supporting the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of all students.
