This is my ninth year teaching literacy at Indian Hill; I taught 4th grade literacy for six years then had the opportunity to support students and teachers in grades 4-6 as a literacy interventionist for two years. I am thrilled to be teaching 5th grade this year!
I have degrees in English and Psychology from Rutgers University and a Master of Arts in Teaching K-6 from Monmouth University. During my graduate program, I was the President of the MU International Literacy Association which continued to grow my passion for bringing literacy into communities and the lives of children.
I live by the beach with my husband, our two beautiful children, and two rescue dogs. I enjoy yoga and meditation, reading, listening to audiobooks & podcasts, gardening, going for walks, the beach, music, traveling and spending time making memories with my family and friends. When I am not listening to my favorite tunes on the way to & from work, you can find me listening to one of the many literacy podcasts that I follow. I love teaching (and kids!) and feel very grateful to have a job that brings me joy.
