Students are taught reading strategies to help build mastery of our standards. These menus are an overview of the strategies that we use in our daily reading. To get a better understanding of these strategies, take a look at our Google Classroom! You will notice that assignment titles list the main skill being taught and you will see the strategy that we are focusing on using that day within the slides.

The most important thing you can do to foster your child's literacy skills is make sure he/she reads every evening. We require 20 minutes of reading each night in a book of the students' choice that they feel is comfortable and interesting. One of the best ways to help your child is to ask about his/her reading!
