Band Class Overview
Anyone can join the band, regardless of ability! For our very beginners, I run the Beginning Band; for the kids with a year or two of experience, I also have the 5/6 Advanced Band. Students are encouraged to play with the different groups to help tutor our beginning musicians and hone those musical skills.
I will also have various ensembles to challenge our young musicians. The larger group meets before school, while the lessons and smaller ensembles meet during the day. We play several concerts during the year, typically in December, March, and May. We end our school year by playing "Pomp and Circumstance" for the graduating Seniors when they visit Indian Hill for their Senior Walk.

General Music Overview
I also teach grades 4, 5, and 6 General Music. This class is one semester that meets one day in the six day rotation. In General Music, we play guitars, ukuleles, various percussion instruments, sing, learn to read standard music notation, learn about music history, all while smiling, laughing, and telling really corny music jokes!
