ABOUT THE TEACHER

Hello!

This is my second year teaching Montessori 6-8 at Placentino, and I am very excited that the year has begun!

I grew up in Holliston and am a graduate of Holliston High School. I was a Montessori student in elementary school and know first hand how truly wonderful and beneficial the Montessori program is in Holliston!

I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College leading to licensure through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Through these educational experiences, I learned the foundation for instruction and learning focusing on developing students’ passion for learning and discovery while fostering their self-confidence, compassion, and creativity. All of my educational experiences, both as a young learner and as an adult learner, led me to embrace the Montessori method as it mirrors my philosophy of teaching and learning. In the summer of 2017 and 2018, I received Montessori training at the Montessori Elementary Teacher Training Collaborative (METTC) in Lexington, MA.

I LOVE Holliston! It is a wonderful community with so much to offer. Keep an eye out for me around town, as I spend a lot of my time with my three nephews going for walks on the rail trail, playing at Goodwill Park and attending other fun Holliston activities.
