Curriculum

In addition to receiving pull-out English language developmental support using the described curriculum programs below, students also receive sheltered content instruction in their academic classes.

Grades 6-8

The curriculum used to support ESL students is National Geographic Inside program. This program builds language through the listening, speaking, reading and writing of science and social studies content as well as authentic literature.

Newcomers

The curriculum for newly arrived students is National Geographic In the U.S.A. program. This program helps students develop language, survival vocabulary, and the basic building blocks of literacy.
