Dismissal Changes/ Attendance

How do I notify the school if my child is going to be absent, tardy, or if there is a change in dismissal plans?


The Placentino School has a "Call Back System" for when your child is absent or tardy. If you know that your child will be absent or tardy, please email or call (508) 429-0647 prior to 8:45am. Important information to include is your child's name, teacher, and the reason for the absence or tardiness. If the absence or tardy is not reported, a phone call, email, and text will be sent asking for you to call the school and to verify the absence.

If you are changing your dismissal plan from your typical schedule (i.e., walker, bus rider, car pick up), families must send an email to pesattendance@holliston.k12.ma.us AND their classroom teacher by NOON time (12 pm). I also ask that you send in a written note in your student’s green communication folder.

If you email AFTER noon, we can not guarantee the email will be received. It is extremely important that you email both email addresses so that both the office and the teacher is aware of the change in dismissal plans. Early dismissal MUST OCCUR prior to 2:45. Due to the complexity of our dismissal process and in order to ensure the safety of our students, we are unable to accommodate any early dismissals between 2:45 and 3:20. We ask that families plan accordingly.
