*You can keep up with your student's progress via TeacherEase and Google Classroom .
*Most parent communication will be done through Remind App and email.
*A weekly plan will be posted in Google Classroom for math, ELA, and Science. Students will also have an assignment sheet and folder that should come home each night and then be sent back to school.
*I follow the district grading scale. Assignments will be categorized and weighted in one of three ways: Daily Work (50%), Tests/Quizzes/Projects (40%), and Participation (10%). Daily work refers to online assignments, in-class work, and homework assignments. Tests, quizzes, and projects are just that and participation points are based upon completing daily work and various assignments, reflection, and class participation.
*Most work will be done inside the school day, but there may be instances where students have to work outside of the usual class length on projects or study for a quiz or test. If a student is absent they are required to check in with me, as well as check Google Classroom and complete make up work. Additionally, if a student does not finish their work during the usual class length, they will need to finish outside of that time. Late work can be turned in up to 3 days after the due date for 10% off for each day late. Per the handbook, I will allow two days for each day absent for makeup.
*Classroom Fun! Expect lots of fun throughout the year. Popcorn, reward passes, and reward celebrations will help keep us all working hard and looking forward to meeting our goals!
*Classroom Expectations-Actively show respect to yourself, others, our classroom, and school. Possible consequences of not showing respect include verbal warning, behavior reflection, apology note, call home, demerits, & not earning classroom rewards.
*Curriculum-ELA (HMH Into Reading/Writing/Grammar,) Math (HMH Go Math), & Science (Savvas Elevate Science).
