I am super excited to be in my 23rd year here in Holbrook. Just to tell you a bit about me, I attended Wheaton College for my undergraduate degree and received my master's degree from Fitchburg State University.
I have taught various English classes here at Holbrook for students in grades 6-12, and for the 2025-2026 school year I will be teaching all eighth grade English classes!.
In addition to teaching, I also have held various other positions at HMHS. I have been a class advisor for the classes of 2009, 2015 and 2020, and I am currently the advisor of the student council and the yearbook!
I love traveling and have been fortunate to share traveling experiences with students from Holbrook in trips to New York City, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Ecuador and Italy through the years. You can see some of my travel blogs in the links above in addition to my photo with a llama in Ecuador from February 2020!
There are few things in your life that impact you in a way that you will never be the same, and for me, one of those life experiences was the passing of Sean Joyce. I had Sean as a student my first year teaching, and he passed away the following summer. Seeing his family, his classmates, and the community of Holbrook rally together to support each other, I knew this town was a special place.
Twenty-one years later, I am fortunate to be a part of continuing to keep his memory and spirit alive here in Holbrook.
Below is a great photo Superintendent Hamilton took at the opening ceremony of the 2021 5K. "The sun always comes out for Sean."
