Kia ora and welcome to Ruma Kererū!
My name is Whaea Naomi and I am so excited to be teaching our wonderful Year 3 tamariki this year. This is my third year here at Hokitika Primary School, and I feel very lucky to be part of such a supportive and caring kura.
Ruma Kererū is an English medium classroom where we focus on building strong foundations in reading, writing and maths, while also encouraging curiosity, creativity and confidence. We love learning through hands-on activities, working together, and celebrating our successes along the way.
We value kindness, respect and trying our best. Our classroom is a place where everyone belongs, feels safe, and is encouraged to grow.
