One mile along the HOCR course, upstream of the start line and about one-third of the way through the race, marked by a blue-and-white line on the wall of Memorial Drive on the Cambridge shore.
Two miles along the HOCR course, upstream of the start line and about two-thirds of the way through the race, approximately opposite the "red door" of the Society of Saint John the Evangelist (980 Memorial Dr, Cambridge, MA 02138).
Buckingham Browne & Nichols Upper School, usually in the context of the BB&N Boathouse, between CBC and the Eliot Bridge.
Boston University, which may be used in the context of the BU Bridge, one of the first bridges on the HOCR course, just upstream of the start line, in addition to the Grand Junction Railroad Bridge underneath; or the BU Boathouse, formally the DeWolfe Boathouse, which houses the starters on one end of the HOCR start line.
Cambridge Boat Club (2 Gerrys Landing Rd, Cambridge, MA 02138), a local rowing club, and headquarters of HOCR, about half a mile downstream of the HOCR finish line and near the Eliot Bridge.
Community Rowing Inc. (Harry Parker Boathouse, 20 Nonantum Rd, Brighton, MA 02135), a local rowing club about two miles further upstream of the HOCR finish line.
Finish Area Launching Site, a large area of Herter Park (Google Maps) which runs from just upstream of the Eliot Bridge near Paddle Boston: Allston Brighton (Google Maps) to near the Artesani Playground Wading Pool and Spray Deck (Google Maps), where many trailers are parked and crews launch and land.
Riverside Boat Club (769 Memorial Dr, Cambridge, MA 02139), a local rowing club about half a mile along the HOCR race course upstream of the start line.
Singles And Doubles Launch, a broad area of Magazine Beach (Google Maps) just downstream of Riverside Boat Club (RBC) where small sculling boats can launch and land on a temporary dock for HOCR. [Closed for 2025.]
The Winsor School and Belmont Hill School, usually in the context of the Winsor/Belmont Hill Boathouse, just upstream of the Eliot Bridge.
