Core Children's Privacy Commitment
The "Blue AI - English for Kids" application is specifically designed for children learning English. We are committed to the highest standards of protecting the personal data of our young users. We strictly comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, and the mandatory requirements of the Google Play Developer Program Policy, including the Families Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND PURPOSE OF PROCESSING
To provide the most effective interactive English learning experience powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) for children, we only collect the minimum and fully anonymized data as specified below:
a. Audio Data (Child's Voice)
Collection Method: When a child performs pronunciation practices, reads vocabulary, or interacts with the AI, the application will request Android system runtime permission to access the device's Microphone. This permission is only activated with explicit consent from Parents or Legal Guardians.
Data Scope: Short voice recording files or real-time audio streams generated from the child's speech during exercises.
Purpose: This audio data is instantly processed by our AI language analysis model to evaluate pronunciation accuracy, assign scores, and deliver real-time learning feedback to the child.
Privacy Commitment: Voice data is processed directly on-device or transmitted via end-to-end encrypted connections to AI processing servers in a fully anonymized form. We DO NOT permanently store children's voice data on our servers, do not build voice biometric profiles, and do not share it with any third parties for commercial advertising purposes. The audio files are completely deleted immediately after the analysis session is completed.
b. Performance Analytics and System Operational Data (Analytics & Performance)
Data Scope: Anonymous device identifiers (such as Android ID or random software tokens generated by Mobile Measurement Partners for technical logs), device hardware information (device model, Android OS version), application crash logs (via Firebase Crashlytics), and aggregated learning progress data (completed lessons, scores achieved).
Purpose: To optimize application performance on various Android devices, fix technical bugs, personalize the learning roadmap for the child, and maintain the feature that saves the child's learning progress.
c. Strict Commitment: NO Collection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
We adhere to a data protection by design philosophy and strictly commit NOT to collect any of the following information from children:
Real full name, home address, phone number, or government-issued personal identification numbers of the child.
The child's personal email address (The only email collected is from Parents for support communications or In-App Subscription registration).
The Google Play Advertising ID (AAID) for users identified as children, ensuring absolutely no behavioral or cross-app tracking of the child's behavior.
2. PARENTAL CONTROL MECHANISM (PARENTAL GATE)
To protect children from accidentally triggering payments or accessing external links outside the application, "Blue AI - English for Kids" integrates a strict Parental Gate feature in full compliance with the Google Play Families Policy requirements.
All actions including:
Making In-App Purchases (IAP) or premium billing subscriptions.
Accessing external web links outside the application (if any).
Changing advanced settings or sending technical support emails to the system.
Require an advanced verification step that only adults or parents can solve (such as completing a complex math problem or decoding a random sequence of characters), preventing children from bypassing the safety perimeter.
3. MONETIZATION & ADVERTISING POLICY
We implement a hybrid business model that is designed to be completely safe and transparent for children, in strict compliance with Google Play's monetization guidelines:
In-App Purchases (IAP): We offer premium paid learning subscriptions to unlock all advanced lesson content. All financial transactions are managed, processed, and securely handled through the official Google Play Billing Library.
Third-Party Advertising (If applicable): If the application displays advertisements in the free version, we commit to applying the strictest configuration for children:
Only use third-party advertising networks officially approved by Google for the Families Program (e.g., Google AdMob permanently configured to activate the tagForChildDirectedTreatment / TFCD flag).
All displayed ads must be Non-Personalized Ads (NPA) and cannot be based on user behavioral tracking data (No Behavioral Targeting).
Ad content is strictly filtered from the server side to ensure it only includes educational, family-friendly, and age-appropriate content for children (suitable for all ages / Designed for Families).
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND DATA PROCESSORS
To ensure smooth operations and maintain high application stability across different Android devices, we cooperate with trusted infrastructure service providers who meet international COPPA/GDPR compliance standards:
Google LLC: Provides the Android platform infrastructure, Google Play Services, Google Play Billing, and Cloud infrastructure.
Google Firebase / Google Analytics for Firebase: Collects technical error crash logs (Crashlytics) and non-identifiable analytical metrics to improve application quality.
AI Service Providers (Speech-to-Text API): Processes voice data in real-time under end-to-end anonymity, without retaining or storing any audio recordings after returning the language analysis results to the child.
5. PARENTAL RIGHTS OVER CHILDREN'S DATA
At any time, Parents or Legal Guardians of the user retain full control over their child's data in accordance with international legal regulations:
Right to Review and Access: Parents have the right to request clarification regarding what technical device information or learning progress data is being processed.
Right to Request Deletion: Parents can request that we completely erase all learning progress or any anonymous data associated with their child's device from our system.
Right to Refuse Data Collection: Parents can proactively disable Microphone access at any time via the Android system settings (Settings -> Apps -> Blue AI -> Permissions). Note: this will limit the application's AI voice interaction and pronunciation scoring features.
To exercise these rights, Parents simply need to send an email directly to our dedicated privacy team at: app@hoc10.vn. We commit to acknowledging, verifying parental identity, and resolving the request within 48 business hours.
6. DATA SECURITY MEASURES
Speak Up English implements strict technical and organizational security measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. All data streams transmitted from the application to the AI processing servers must be encrypted via the high-security HTTPS (TLS 1.3) protocol.
7. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect technological advancements in AI, operational optimizations, or new policy updates from the Google Play Console. Material changes will be notified by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy page and displaying a prominent notification within the app interface (protected behind the Parental Gate).
