Day in the Life and Global Showcase

Every morning, you'll hear and learn from your fellow HOBY ambassadors at the World Leadership Congress. You'll get a glimpse into daily life around the world through a collage of short video clips we call Day in the Life.

We'll build our global community through Global Showcase, where various delegations will present about their country. Ambassadors are invited to share their country’s history, cultural activities, festivals, and other interesting facts, and may even wear their country’s traditional clothing! This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about other ambassadors and their home countries from across the world.

Lightning
Talks

Each night of the WLC, all ambassadors are invited to take part in Lightning Talks, which are short 60-second improvised speeches on the program main stage. Each lightning talk starts with a prompt. 

This is your chance to unleash your excitement and let your fellow ambassadors in on your leadership perspective. Whether it's a hobby, a dream, a passion, or a piece of advice, what do you want to share with everyone?

Capital Quest

Explore the vibrant city of Washington, D.C.! In your facilitator group, you can visit iconic places like the Smithsonian museums, strike a pose on the National Mall, marvel at the beauty of the monuments, or pick up a cool souvenir to remember your time here. It's all up to your group and you where you want to adventure through this incredible city.

Service Projects

We will spend Thursday morning making a difference. We will make a real impact with outstanding service projects aimed at reducing inequalities in the Washington, D.C. community! Where we'll be packing meals. 

Talent Show

Get hyped for the WLC Talent Show! It's going down on Thursday and it's your time to shine! Support your fellow ambassadors as they show off their unique skills. Both live and video-recorded talents will be shown. 

Our goal is simple: show off our cool and vibrant community, have fun, and celebrate each other's uniqueness. This Talent Show is our chance to embrace our talents and show the world who we are! Step up, own the stage, and make memories. Get ready for mind-blowing talent from your fellow Ambassadors!

Celebration

As our time in Washington, D.C., comes to an end, we'll gather for an epic Celebration to mark the conclusion of our unforgettable journey. During these closing ceremonies, we'll have the chance to reflect and showcase the creations from our creative sprints.

But the fun doesn't stop there! We'll indulge in a wonderful dinner, hit the dance floor, and take lots of photos to remember the experience.

We'll end the night with Lightning Talks, closing the congress with short reflections that capture our time together. It's a time to be enlightened, entertained, and leave with a burst of inspiration.
