NCEA at Hobsonville Point Secondary School

What do you want to know about?

  • Students who missed out on admission slips can collect these from reception.

  • If students have extra exams on their admission slips, please let them know it DOES NOT MATTER. Admission slips are printed in September so may not reflect all the exams they have withdrawn from.

  • However, if exams are missing it DOES MATTER. If you want to sit an exam, it must be on your admission slip. If it is not, students will need to email for a reprint.

  • If you forget your admission slip on the day of the exam, please see Danielle in reception as soon as you get to school.

If students need an emergency grade due to illness, injury, misadventure, covid, etc. they will need to complete this form.

  • NZQA guidelines re COVID are as follows:

  • For the purpose of NCEA examinations, where a student has cold / flu symptoms and there are concerns about them attending the exam they should take a COVID-19 test.

  • If they test negative, they should attend their examination. Showing a negative test result at the examination indicates the Covid risk has been actively managed.

  • If test is positive that will provide the evidence for a derived grade.

  • Schools should encourage students to actively manage testing but may have to plan to have RATs available for students to support them to confirm they do/do not have COVID-19.

  • Being a household contact IS NOT an appropriate reason for missing an exam.
