Welcome to the HNPS futsal information website. Fantastic to see students out there playing futsal. You should all be very proud of yourselves. Also thank you very much to the parents who volunteer there time to help our students, we couldn't do it without you.
Below and above are the 2020 team links with more information, including rules, draws and locations. If you have any photos of the games you are welcome to send them through to Erica Cranswick at sport@hnps.school.nz

COACH: The role of a coach is to teach the students about the game of futsal (rules and structure). They do this by perhaps having a practice (not essential though) and on game day organise the subs so everyone gets a turn. Practices can be before school, after school or at lunchtime. You just need to check with Olivia Currie to book a time when the turf is available. The coach will get a coaching manual with some tips on how to coach and the rules for the game for the specific team they are coaching (rules vary among grades). The coach encourages the team to show the school values (respect, relationships, responsibility and resilience) and awards a STAC award to a player that showed these values.
MANAGER: The role of a manager is to co-ordinate the team gear bag, making sure all the gear is at each game and practice (if you are having one) and ensure that all the gear is returned to the bag after each game. They ensure that there will be enough players for each Tuesday game (if you are sick contact the manager) and that everyone knows the game time. On game day you could assist the coach by helping with substitutions if they are refereeing.
