Justice Hidayatullah Memorial National Moot Court Competition (HNMCC)

Mooting has been a culture at HNLU and since its inception HNMCC had built up a reputation of being India's premier Competition Law Moot. The competition has earned its repute in the legal circuit as a premier moot court competition in India and has been instrumental in bringing about awareness regarding issues of contemporary importance.

Every edition of HNMCC is aimed at raising the mooting standards by ensuring an intellectually stimulating Moot Problem along with an excellent Bench. HNLU has focused its efforts on bringing this subject to the mooting arena.

The 11^th Edition of HNMCC, 2019 was organised in association with the Competition Commission of India, New Delhi; the subject matter of the moot was ‘Competition Law’. The moot problem was drafted by P&A Law Offices, New Delhi and it concerned with the interplay between IPR, Big Data and Competition Law.

The HMNCC has eminent judges drawn from a galaxy of legal professionals, academia, and judiciary.

COLOSSUS- THE FLAGSHIP CULTURAL EVENT OF INDIAN LAW SCHOOLS

Colossus is the Annual National Cultural, Literary & Sports Festival organised by Hidayatullah National Law University. Colossus hosts multiple cultural, literary and sports events with an exclusive panel of judges along with stage events like band performances. To succeed in sporting competitions, one must persevere with a fixed motive. One must possess a necessary acumen to chalk out a plan and to work towards it in camaraderie and harmony with one’s teammates. It indeed is a test of your most innate instincts. The cultural events would be so designed to pick and promote talent in various forms of arts. It is anticipated to be an entertaining engagement with the crowd being the obvious winners every time. The one gifted with the rarest abilities or someone equipped with acquired skills will outshine and stand out among the participants. Thus, the competition is expected to be at a slightly jovial note and with a characteristic kick of its own.

The flagship event of COLOSSUS includes talent shows, debates, face painting, sports matches, you name it! It witnessed the performances of renowned artists like The Local Train, and Lost Stories and it gets even better. Thus, with a multitude of universities participating and even a greater array of cultural, literary and sports events and activities along with performances from renowned artists on the very campus, we're sure you will have a time of your life!

International Model United Nations Conference (IMUNC)

HNLU IMUNC is the flagship event of Hidayatullah National Law University. IT provides platform to the students around the globe to enable them to debate and engage with different voices in order to form a well-rounded and informed perspective on contemporary issues.

HNLU IMUNC is an attempt to encourage today’s youth to raise their opinions as they are tomorrow’s hope. With a world that is intertwined where each move made in international diplomacy is thoroughly scrutinized, our platform provides an opportunity for young students to engage in a simulation of the same.
